Andrew Davis powered the Wolverines to a commanding 44-24 victory over rival Lambert, marking the largest point-margin win ever in the history of the matchup. Davis found the end zone three times on the ground, sparking a massive turnaround after West trailed 10-0 at the end of the first quarter. From that point on, the Wolverines erupted for 37 unanswered points, seizing control of the game with big plays on both sides of the ball. Thatcher Beisbier contributed with a blocked punt that resulted in a safety, and Ivan Ehima added a key sack to stall Lambert’s momentum.
Senior quarterback Max Walraven had a standout performance as well, throwing two touchdown passes and running in another himself. Both Mason Page and Colt Muschara hauled in long touchdown receptions to help stretch the lead. The win moves West Forsyth to 1-0 in region play, giving them a strong start in a competitive slate. Up next, the Wolverines will look to carry that momentum into Thursday’s homefield matchup against another region opponent, Denmark.
